A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line. Stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a lift of the gas please.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in Discord. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Video guide to multiclass racing - Click here
  • It is the responsibility of faster cars to safely overtake cars in slower class. Whether a blue flag is being shown to the slower car or not, the slower car should be predictable and remain on the racing line. The faster car should execute the overtake only when it is safe to do so.
  • If a faster car is lapping another car in the same class, the normal gentleman's rule applies; some cooperation may be required to facilitate the overtake, usually a slight lift at the start of a straight. Please be sensible.
  • Separate qualification runs will happen for GT3 and GT4 classes. First 10 minutes for GT3, second 10 minutes for GT4. GT4 cars must not exit the pits before 10 minutes have elapsed. GT3 must not start a lap after 10 minutes have elapsed. You may be kicked from the server by race control if you ignore this rule.
  • All other Racing Club Rules still apply to this event.
  • Discord is highly recommended for all club races.

I would very much like to join, but i do not know any of the GT3/GT4 cars in this qua, in terms of handling.

Any tips for a AC newcomer? Which car is the most forgivable :p

Ginetta first and after that the BMW is probably the easiest gt3 option to start with. Ginetta just needs the wings dropped to 2 and you will have a decent setup for this track.

By popular request, we will try a race sunday +2 weeks(3rd april) with the RSS GT cars.

They are on discount at the moment so you can get all the cars for about 10 quid. For 6 high quality cars, I hope that is ok as an additional expense with you folks.

,
I didn't know there was 3rd party content you can buy outside of Kunos. Think I've probably only ever touched about 5% of content available for this game!. Happy to buy it if we are going to race them here so count me in.

I'm in with the GT3 this weekend.

For something different I am going to try the AMS2 club tonight. F3 open wheelers that I have never raced in before on a game I have barely touched using a circuit I have never heard of . Expect to be back here with my tail between my legs looking for some AC tin top familiarity.

Is it? It's been a long time since I last drove the BMW (in fact, it may even be on an older tyre model) but I remember it as being quite loose.

I typically suggest the Audi or Ferrari.

I only got into sim racing last year, but the BMW for me at least was the first GT3 car I could I could get comfortable with, that and the Nissan. I found both the Audi and Ferrari to be a little tail happy for a beginner. At least for my driving style, the Z4 can be thrown around harder it seems without the back breaking lose.

That said, @Evoluzione the Ginetta as others said is a very fun and forgiving GT4 car. Dropping the wing down to 2 gives you nice straight line speed, but if you leave it a little bit higher, you'll lose a little speed, but gain a lot of grip in the corners. When I first started using the Ginetta I left the wing higher and dropped it over subsequent races as I got more comfortable with it.

I would agree on the Ginetta as it's less powerful and there are fewer set up parameter to change.

In terms of GT3s, I found the Mclaren easiest to start with as it has fairly neutral handling in it's default setup.
