can this be mounted on rails so they can move back and front?
According the manual you can USE 4 M5X12 or 4 M5X16 hex head bolts(which are included) in order to mount the baseplate.
I have the impression that most common seat rails use M8 bolts.
So the answer is most probably no but I guess is something that it can be done by someone who is less terrible than me in tinkering.
I really can't confirm as I never tried it.
Maybe another member can help.
