How and in which game modes can I save?

Iam in mid carrer doing the 24h SPA in short, so 8 hrs. I cant find when and how to save. I tried during pitstops but no option to save appears. I searched google but no clear info how to do it. So, how can I save in ACC? Only in custom champs but not in career? ACC is superb but the general lack of info about saves, setups, etc. is ridiculous........

I checked Career and it does have a Save option. Just press Escape to bring up the menu, and it shows the option together with Options and Visual Settings.

Thanks but I dont have such an option..... all the rest appears but not a save. You mean during racing or during pitting, you press ESC and you see a save option?

During the Race, while on track. I haven't tried opening the Menu while pit works were on-going.

This should in fact do it. I was able to do it during one of the earlier "long" races in career.

While on track, hit the escape button. Then hit save. If you quit and restart, you should be able to continue the session where you left off.
If you quit without saving, you will have to restart the session!
