How to position pedals

Ello, if you don't have a PlaySeat then how have you set up your pedals? For sure you need them tilted and higher then just on the ground, init?
I made this out of wood, but it is starting to let loose, so I'm curious to your solutions. I could not find any ready-made product online.

It depends. If you have a F1 driving position, the pedals should be high and vertical, because your legs will be quite straight and high, and your seat low and very reclined. In a GT driving position, the pedals are lower and you don't seat so reclined and low. A rally driving position is a bit closer to a normal road car. This is my driving position in my cockpit, and I have my pedals a bit lower than the base of my seat. First decide your driving position and then make tests until you feel comfortable. The pedal should be easy to reach operate.

With that particular Fanatec pedal set, I'd invert them so debris doesn't fall into the gears that operate the potentiometers. Those gears are only plastic, so one tiny rock or a few grains of sand can easily munch the gears.

If you box in the sides of your wood platform, it will stiffen the structure.
