i9 compatibility

Guy, I'm confused by CPU / motherboard compatibility charts. I've been offered an i9-9900K 1151 someone bought that is incompatible with the motherboard he has, but can't work out whether the motherboard I have can accept it. It is the Gigabyte Z370P D3-CF, and on the Gigabyte site it says "F14"

What does the F14 mean?

That is probably the minimum required version of the BIOS

This being the case, just remember to flash that BIOS *before* you replace the CPU or you'll be kicking yourself
