Imola and Magny-Cours??

Imola and Magny-Cours are on the 2020 calendar!! Does this mean we will see them in ACC?? Are they just temporary tracks because of covid? More tracks on ACC would be cause for celebration, so here's to hoping we see them!!

A developer on the ACC forums confirmed there won't be a 2020 season DLC. So no Magny or Imola. Even more disapointing than that, it sounds like the last content DLC for ACC we should expect is the BritishGT track pack. No more cars or tracks planned beyond that. That is so disapointing. Sounds like planning for AC2 may be underway.

On top of that, they are locking out threads where people are asking for Imola or a 2020 season DLC

I'm sorry to tell you but your post is full of bullshit. Actually, all of it is bullshit.

Devs haven’t said anything about these tracks, and won’t encourage speculation about them.

This is smart from their standpoint; if they’re in the midst of negotiations with circuit owners who know that game fans KNOW FOR CERTAIN that their track WILL be ingame, then those owners have Kunos over a barrel and can charge whatever they want. The alternative is Kunos bails on the deal and then get bad PR as they’ve failed to live up to their promises.

You also have to understand that Kunos has to position their press releases to maximum advantage in an ever more crowded sim field. They may already have signed contracts, but those notices may be dependent on timing best suited to SRO, the circuit owners or even Kunos’ own business priorities. All of which are rightfully unknown to you or I and could be scuttled by premature leaks.

I am quite happy with the content I have right now, and if something pops unexpectedly in the future, I’ll actually be happy for the surprise of it, a factor that I’m sure also serves Kunos well. Nothing more exciting than reviving a “dead”, “unsupported” game than a new season pack out of the blue...

Also, do you guys realize it might not be up to Kunos? I haven't read the contracts, but 505 is the publisher. Traditionally, they are thus the money-men, so they decide whatever gets made. Unless something else is said in the contracts, it is most likely that 505 is watching the accounts and deciding whether to make new DLC at all. If the DLC keeps turning a profit, I don't doubt there will be a new roadmap for 2021 with several DLC packs.

People seem to think that Kunos is just a non-profit charity or something, and that they can make decisions purely on their own whims. People who think like this are probably just children who don't know about the realities of game development.

It's funny how people are asking on every forum for more tracks yet everyone online plays just 3-4 of them. Open the public lobby list of populated servers and all you see is Monza, Monza, Nurburgring, Monza, Spa, Monza, Silverstone, Monza, Zolder GT4, Monza and so on... Everything else is empty, even if there are other tracks online.

People also play offline. You can't judge 100% of players by what content is being used online.
Not 100%. But my friend, for example, can't race me online on any other track than Zandvoort, Silverstone, Nurbs, Hungaroring and few others, because he's not done enough practice. If you play a lot of offline races on every track, you should not have problem joining anything else besides Monza and not causing a mayhem. I was hosting a server for a month, and ran races on less popular tracks. Server was mostly empty, and only filled up when I ran Nurburgring or Silverstone.

I was specifically referring to this. I don't dispute that the lobbies are empty, but just because people only play the same few tracks online doesn't mean other people who ask for more tracks won't want to use them offline. Not everybody cares about racing online.

Well, me included. I mostly play offline, and for that rF2 and AC are far better options with unlimited mods. So I don't even hope for more tracks coming to ACC. If I want to have an online race, I turn on ACC and there is only 3 options to choose from in reality.

I can see your pov now. Still, Imola would be a fine addition :D

I've been watching Stefanos ACC streams, and if the new AI he's working on can globally work as well as it looks at Zolder atm ACC may become a contender for single player races.
