Indycar Skins???

Why do people keep making skins for the RSS Indycar???

Its clearly the inferior mod (ive driven both) the VRC one being more accurate & more relevant to the irl car + better to drive. Yet people are smashing out new 2022 skins for a poc mod that hardly anyone within the community uses???

All i can say is whyyyyy

Why have you made 0 skins for VRC car?

Also you are making pretty big claims about the RSS car, care to elaborate and offer something to support those claims? Liking the VRC mod better is one thing, but what you are saying is something else.

Im not a skin maker so i think your comment “why dont you make some” is mute.

Also the vrc model is alot more driver friendly in terms if the mod. The tyres actually get into a working temp range compared to the rss car and its the 2021 version. Ive also not seen any leagues running the rss car, compared to the vrc mod which has community league usage already.

I’ve bought both the RSS IndyCar and the VRC IndyCar pack. The reason I can give for focusing my skinning efforts on the RSS 2020 model is that I assumed more people were using the RSS version based on how many mods were available for it here on RaceDepartment, as I’m sure you’ve seen.

All of that is speaking for myself though. VRC does good work and I have bought a few of their other mods including their LMP1 offerings. However I think RSS is just more well known overall as the place to go for Assetto Corsa mods. Anecdotally I didn’t find out about VRC until long after I’d already purchased a bunch of RSS and United Racing Design mods.
