Welcome to the OT Racing Club.

We're back to an hour format with the Jide. You need to use both tyre compounds in the race. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.

Croft is a short tight circuit that suits this car well - so it should be a blast.

WOW:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: Amazing job Hank!

Looks very much like a Lotus 47 - should have the driver name as John Miles;)
Wasn't the '47 derived from the Lotus Europa, or other way 'round? (Question for the 'mature' chaps here I guess lol)

John Miles, like Ken Miles (no relation) of GT40 fame was a great driver, and mostly, an amazing development driver, plenty of teams tried to poach him for that skill, including Ferrari, but he was too loyal to Colin Chapman, who treated him very unfairly(imo).
I put this in a spoiler 'cos I'm wittering git:roflmao:

Hey, even though I am terribly slow, I would like to give it a try. Can anyone maybe share a setup with me? Have a great night and thanks a lot.

Don't forget to sign up. This is a great car/track combo and for the first time we have an hour race with a mandatory tyre change onto a different tyre compound - so that should be interesting

Doing better than I thought I would, cat tried to jump on my lap. First corner came off the track, bugger so I thought, lost a couple of seconds to Richard. Next thing I know I have a “go to 21 mph”, what the point of that, it was the first corner, plus I lost a lot of time going off track, now a double “pointless” punishment..
Bugger that, so I threw the towel in. There was no point in carrying on.
In all my racing, very rarely can you gain time going off circuit, I know I have followed everyman and his dog over the last 4 years, very very very rarely have I seen someone gain time on me going off circuit. The irony is, either it makes no time or more likely lose time.

My system bugs are getting worse it seems. Ok, not switching back the tyres was my fault plus if you go back to the pit you have to start from there, i get that. But, my red light count down was earlier than it should of been by a few seconds,? what was with the open car door? and although i had my setup inc. pit strat. saved i had lost all of my pit data when i checked? I just did a steam file check and it was perfect, i have re installed my CPS and i have unchecked the extended physics button which interestingly states that it may cause online issues. Dont know what else to do with this s**t. Also, i am sure i did not go over track limits before it decided to kick me out but i think that was a track issue and i should of slowed down.

Again ernie, welcome to my world. I got thrown out for not slowing

Hopefully I'm not the only one who had fun. I think Richard liked it too. Great race, great final phase, with a good ending for me. I had already given up, but then the chance arose in the last lap.

I also had a penalty for “no time gained off the road”. I didn't even know what to do. I had to read everything first. As a result, I probably lost twice as much time because the countdown always started again. Anyway, now I know it too.

It was a lot of fun!

@gearwhine I have racked my simple brain to try and sort this unknown to you on your behalf. The problem is that CM is so complex, it is not exactly impossible that you have accidentally ticked something in the maze of settings, maybe the tick became a permanent thing, even when it was unticked.
My only advice, you probably have already done this, save all my tracks and cars somewhere, and remove AC and content manager and all their associated files. Finding them all may take a while. Use CC to clear up the registers.
And start from scratch. I had to do this recently, and as bad as it was, because each week we are generally somewhere different you mainly have to do a lot of downloading tracks frequently. You soon forget and get everything sorted. I was surprised how much pointless stuff I was keeping on my PC.
Just make sure you save all your paid content like RSS and URD, etc content.

Enabling track limits wasn't intentional. Having 2x1 hour races wasn't the plan either. Not my finest setup of a race.
My first time out in this car and what fun it is!
I didn’t bother qualifying (only and installation lap to check pitstop) as I was not used to how the car might behave, so kept out of the way at the start, lap 1 and I got a drive through for not starting on the same tyres as qualy, odd because I did (V60).
Then a slow down penalty for over an over enthusiastic line through the chicane but I kept going and somehow ended up on the podium:confused:. Personally I thought the V60’s felt better in the first stint than the V70‘s did in part 2 but maybe my lack of time in the car.
So an interesting race and the tyre rule certainly mixed things up a lot.
Thanks to Colin for organising ( trust me, I know how complex it I can be) and well done to Hank and Richard, great pace.

I too was having problems..Loaded my settings up just before the start, the lights did,nt correspond with the timer, very slight glitch at start saw my setting erased (will explain soon) so basically started with stock setting all tyre temps in the red with 30 ltrs :poop::mad::poop::mad::ninja::ninja:..someone came out of the pits with a door open..WTF!!!Doing my best to keep Hank off my tail, car was all over the place, mindless minutes waiting till i could pit and see what the hell was going on..Entered pits to...............Nothing..No tyres,no fuel stock set-up...Loaded mt set up and then it gave me an extra 15 sec penalty..This is getting a bit :poop: now for my liking, you put some time in to get a good set-up,learn the track,,and for what??..Rant over, love the car but if it happens again i will be pulling the plug on it..
