Can someone please tell me how to 'Activate' La canyons main, and Plantium....

I have installed main first......than the paid Plantium VIP. VIP doesnt work.

The install instructions do not mention how to 'Activate'? However, members mention to 'activate' but leave out how to lol

Anyways, I'd recommend installing the VIP pack manually. Unless you plan to go back to the stock LA Canyons without the VIP stuff there is no need to use a MOD Manager IMO. For manual install, you just copy the files from the VIP pack into the main directory, and overwrite anything it ask you - like described in the readme under section 2b.

Yes, I did a manual install. Copied over to directory as install suggests. Installed main first, closed out AC, than installed VIP. I see some Canyon tracks, but vip is blocked out. Lots of comments stating that the main needs to be 'activated' ? So that the vip works also.......confused. As there is no direction at all where to activate. I'm extremely new to the PC sim. But I wanted the most from Sim driving so I built a PC for soon to be VR Index. Was using a 73" TV with console and my home built racing seat w/Fanatec Clubsport.

If you copied a "MODS" folder to the AC folder then you'd need to enable it using Content Manager or JSGME.

If you just directly copied the content/tracks/la_canyons from the main and VIP, that's all you have to do.

I know I'm repeating myself, but there's really not much more to it. Maybe try redownloading the VIP package in case that got borked somehow.

I don't really have a link..I just did google searches and people mentioned to 'activate' main.
Would it help if I unpack to a folder on desktop folder labeled 'main and unpack VIP to a VIP folder. And than drag files to AC ?
The original tracks (la canyon tracks main) were there, but the VIP tracks had a 'padlock' on them. Maybe I should delete AC completely and re-install main and VIP So I un-installed AC from Steam and am re-installing. I downloaded and extracted main and VIP to their own folders on desktop. I'll let you know how it goes while waiting on the above reply. Thanks everyone for their help.

Well it looks as though it's good to go now. Except for all the guys on the side of roads and wrong ways....I copied those also....don't think they took...

There is a sellfy shop where you can buy the upgrades. In the LA Canyons download thread there is a link to Phoenix's Facebook page in the SPoiler: FAQ section where you can find the link to his sellfy shop. I guess it's not liked directly because something in the RaceDepartment ToS forbids it

VIP activation means payment. If you dont pay you cant drive on the VIP layouts. Apart from that, no other activation needed. You can drive at the freeroam part offline or onilne for free, as soon as you install it (just put the track in the tracks folder, and thats it)

Downloaded VIP Plat tonight from his online shop, used CM to install, everything unlocked.

I need help. I bought a vip platinum and installed it. The track appear in the menu, but when I try to open the track, an error occurs.
Message TRACK NOT FOUND. Every track same message. Mod installed manually.

You need to download and install the track from here first, then copy the platinum stuff in. Platinum is just extras, not the whole package.
