yes you can.
mountainpeak > skins > default > put the textures in there.
besides, no reason not to get content manager, i gives you so many more options

I am a newb at todays technologies.
I did as you instructed with no results as in the skins directory I do not find default folder?
you do recommend CM for AC so maybe that is the way to go with this addon for correct billboards

no, you have to create a folder called default inside the skins folder.
i did this now here.

i also understand that if you are new to this it can be very complicated, but with Content Manager you can drive this track at night if the latest patches are installed.

I am a 68 year old newb who retired from sim racing in 2005 as my life direction changed, I last ran NR2003 and GPL on an old XP machine. decided time to get back into racing with AC and the GPL mod that peaked my interest.

drop the unzipped Shaders Light Patch folder in there.

once you have installed this manually, you can drag and drop this update in your Content Manager, on the upper right in CM will be a green "square" which shows you something can be installed.
