Much lower fps with F-USA cars

Hi,
I'm running AMS2 in VR on a HP Reverb G2 with RTX3080 and i9 10850K. Normally, I'm getting 85-90 fps with my configuration.

However, I bought Racin' USA recently, and with the F-USA cars, I'm only getting 50-60 fps, even in timetrial.

Normally, I'm racing GT3s, so my first thought was that the low fps may be related to the wider look to the track in an open-wheeler. However, other openwheelers like F-Ultimate are letting the game run at the high fps.

Has anyone else made similar experience? Are the F_USA cars somehow buggy or poorly optimized? The drop of fps is really noticeable in VR, unfortunately.

WBR,
Mike

Hi,
Are you using my liveries for the F-USA? then maybe the FPS would go down with the F-USA Gen3, I had made there the liveries in the size 4096 x 6144 and not as recommended 4096 x 4096.
As I said, this could somewhat affect the FPS.
If however with the other two F-USA Gen1 and Gen2 the FPS also go down has that probably other causes.
Maybe the rim color selection that was introduced on the F-USA cars also influences the FPS a bit.

it is strange. I have heard a few people talking about it and when I drove the north loop it did seem a little less smooth. Nothing crazy, and to claim that I am not subject to suggestion would be wrong. Maybe they are doing something on the server. I cant even begin to imagine what could cause something like frame rate drop.

Besides the wider view on the openwheelers, I also had suspected the cockpit mirrors on the F-USAs, as they looked somehow sharper than on other cars. But turning them off didn't give a remedy. Also, I can reproduce that the low fps is related to car, and not to track. I first saw the low fps when I tried Cleveland, and I was really thinking how such an "empty" track could generate low framerate; but the problem migrated also to other tracks like NordS whenever I used F-USAs.

I drove my in the morning and noticed that the track had lots of lighting effects. Trust me they are always doing stuff to the game so I dont get too worried if something strange comes up. They put something like a beta tester for new updates so maybe that is it. I really have no idea where a graphic change would come from without an update? They have always sorted any kind of issue that comes up though.

In the meantime, I can confirm that the low fps are gone when I drive in Training or Race Mode. Only TImeTrial is affected. So, obviously, I really came across that strange phenomenom mentioned in the Reiza forum.

Thanks for guiding me to that topic, I'd ever have thought that the low fps may be linked to the race mode!
