Multi Player real road

JeffL

Right on Brother, I hear ya, it's all good.
Is there a way to carry over rubbered in track from practice to qualy to race. We start a race naturally progressing and it is green, anybody?

Set practice with a real road preset or "user-Auto-saved"
All other sessions needs to be at naturally progressing.

If you choose "user-auto-saved" for practice and naturally progressing for ALL other session. Rubber will build up in a continues loop.

If it's a new track and doesn't have a "user-auto-saved" file:
- Start the server.
- Skip thru some session.
- Go back and choose "user-auto-saved" for practice.
- Accept the new settings and the server will restart.

Note: if you restart the race before the real road file is fully loaded, you'll have a green track.

I read a quick post over at ISI by Peter Chen that if you set all 3 to naturally progress that it will work. Because we don't want a whole practice green just the beginining like a real race day. Thx Let me know if you find anything else cause it seems very few people have an understanding of this.

If you set at light rubber at prac, naturally progessive but static in qualy, and naturally progessing in
race does it reset to green naturally progressing in start of race. This is what I think is happening just wondered if anyone else has run into this.

Light rubber + additional laid down rubber from practice carries over into the qualifying session, during which no additional rubber is laid down (due to it being set to static). The race will then start with the same amount of rubber, but there will laid down additional rubber in the race (assuming you don't have the race set to "static" as well).

Is there a problem with maybe mod tracks on how they handle real road, maybe non 3pa or isi approved tracks with the latest builds.

Yeah, I have just run a couple of league races at MId-ohio and barber. I and couple other drivers have observed that there is certain grip to the track all week in practice and on track day practice and qualy seem to have a descent grip. But as soon as the race hits it's like glass. The aliens don't seem to struggle because they have perfect lines. Although I was only a second off in qualy going 3rd. It felt like a different car in race. sliding and wearing out tires (indy car) So I'm trying ot figure out if it's perception or reality. Know what I mean?
