Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

For everyone of you who plays ACC this track will be familiar. However in AC it's new for our Wednesday community.
Located a short distance from the beachfront in the seaside resort towns of Rimini, Riccioni and Cattolica, Misano has been one of the principal Italian circuits since opening in the 1970s.

Flat and fairly featureless, the track nevertheless comes alive each year for the visit of the MotoGP World Championships, when the crowds fill the grandstands in huge numbers, in recent years drawn by home hero Valentino Rossi, for whom Misano is the home circuit.
But it's also used for DTM and GT races.

Especially the new and inexperienced drivers are recommended to participate. There are a lot of learning opportunities but without the intensity and stress of the GT3/4 cars or the endurance multiclass cars. It's also good step up for those kind of events.

Looks like my talking slowed you down Doug :roflmao:

Nice time. Got some practice ahead of me

I refocused after a short break and found a bit of time. I was briefly ahead of Allan but I see he pulled a late shift and got it back, and then some. Andre also ahead now.

Looks like the Abarths may have some competition.... :)

Lovely flowing track with a couple of cheeky corners that can catch you out..If we have the same turnout as last week,it should be as good..Afew guys are getting up to speed now,Doug was driving it like he stole it,think the weeks of telling him to push,push,push are sinking in:sneaky:..At 1 point he was having me beat:thumbsdown:....so..........after a good talking to my sexy little Mazda beauty,couple of tweeks ahead again.............BUT THEN,,just before bed thought i would have 10 mins,,,that bloody John @Medilloni:mad: :whistling: :D :p pulls out a time that threw my coffee away,had me crack open a new bottle, of, erm, the good stuff:whistling: :whistling: ,even sterner talking to my little beauty,tightened up her back end:unsure: :whistling: and just pipped him.....

Now joking aside,this little Weds race night is becoming epic and i mean EPIC...Watching last weeks racing from every single person was great to watch,from the fast guys to the newbies..I think there was 27?? on track WOW..Overall the quality of racing is awesome,you are bound to be rubbed hit even taken out but thats racing,happens in real life bound to happen sat behind a screen or goggles if ur that posh :roflmao:..
Theres is something about a hopefull meeting in Oct??,Lets do it guys,lets put a face to a name,have a drink/chat/laugh,talk racing,life is too short,as i recently found out...
@HF2000 keep up the good work,i just hope this buyout wont affect our racing till next time,see you on track, stay safe..

Lol, I was making the most of it while I had a slight pace advantage. Didn't last long, though. :) This feels like a track with multiple lines and opportunities to overtake and race wheel to wheel.

I agree, everyone did really well last week. 27 cars on a short and narrow track was a real challenge. Epic indeed. We were even missing John and Henke so the field could have been even bigger and more competitive.

Now, I will need to find time for at least one more practice session to claw back some time.

@Mr. Wallace
Hi William,

You are new with us and I don't know if your have a lot of experience with simracing in general. But if you are a kind of rookie, please don't get intimidated by the laptimes of these guys. Everyone here has experienced the same when they started but this wonderful community is very tolerant, understanding and helpful for newcomers.
In fact, we love newbies because we love full grids.
Don't hesitate to ask for tips. I'm sure you will get a lot of respons from the guys.

See you on track!

Thanks, it sounds like fun. I’ve a few hundred hours across various sims, but it’s all been hottlapping and AI races, I’ve never raced online before.

I’m certainly curious where the others racers are finding their extra seconds of pace from too, especially Allan up there with nearly 4 seconds on me. Well impressive.

Looking forward to racing with you Will. You will find us a helpful, friendly and fair bunch with some wind up moments in the forums, too.

Han is right that you should not be put off by the faster times, there's a good spread of ability.

I started properly online racing 2 years ago here and there's no substitute for online racing to learn how the fast guys do it.

A few of us have started to join the Racedepartment Assetto corsa Discord channel when practicing so we can chat, share tips and setup thoughts. (As long as there's not an AC race happening). You will find plenty of help there.

Tip: If Allan is practicing, you can jump in to his car and see exactly what he does: lines, breakpoints, gearshifts.

Might have to some setup work now then Allan:p Hardest thing is finding where the cuts are:unsure:

...and hoping work allows on Weds:O_o:

@Medilloni
Great time John,i got a new PB but cant seem to reel that time in,hoping race night might be different..Good Job M8
Thanks Allan, your time is wicked 'cos I really thought it would be a Abarth track. Was trying to find the cut warnings (fecking annoying:mad:), saw 54.9/8 on the split too many times, then threw it away @ T14 and T16 - a difficult track:cautious: I've done a lot of laps, Jason, Ernie and others will soon be there I reckon.

imo the race will level out if we're to steer clear of a stop 'n go penalty, prob half to a second slower I guess:unsure:
