Multiple Drivers - One rig

The varying performance of computers and hardware of friends who would like to make up an endurance team leads us to wonder if it is possible to share a single computer and sim-rig in an endurance race. To be clear, there would be only one instance of ACC running, with driver swaps happening physically on the rig - seat changes and all.

Can this be done?

- and if not, why not, dammittttt. :sneaky:

Indeed it can. If you change tyres your minimum pitstop time is 30secs. Plenty of time to change drivers. If not changing tyres, fuel, penalties and damage repair will also be adequate for driver change.
Each driver will have to keep the first driver's name though. And each race organiser may have certain rules that need to be adhered to, that may cause issues.

This is something i never understand with most modern games, they never really cater for friends playing in the same room, its split screen, networked or nothing.

What is up with being able to choose a stint time per player, it has been done very well in the past, but dont remember any modern games supporting it.

Three mates sat having a beer and want to have a race one night but cant without three computers setup. With a timed driving stint select race length, team and stint duration, over a 1.5hr race you could have 5 min stint then switch driver, each drives for a total of 30 mins 5 mins at a time, im an old GP fanboy, we used to have many seasons doing this way before hi speed internet and was great fun especially taking the piss out of their mistakes!
