Newbie here. Recently installed the game and have the TS-PC Racer.

wondering what is the best setting only for drifting? i never try drifting before so im not sure how it feels. thats why im asking you guys please kindly help me to enjoy practicing or just playing the game.
i try the LUT and FBB combo thingy but cant even feel my wheel now feels like im playing on a cheap arcade :(

I wouldn't bother with LUT or FFBClip. They don't really improve anything especially if you have a TS-PC wheel. I tried the LUT method on my TX wheel and it killed the force level to too weak. I also tried the FFBClip app and it also just dropped the force level to eliminate clipping which I don't think is necessary (within reason as a few clips here and there are not a problem, I would rather have good force feedback most of the time).

Install CM and CSP with SOL to start with.

Windows:
Turn all your forces up to 100% in Thrustmaster Control Panel.

In game:
Set gain at 100%
Kerb, road and slip effects to zero
Gamma mode set to 100% (default)
Enable Gyro effect damper at 100% I think.

I suggest picking a car and track you like and you know they have FFB effects that seem responsive (some cars are a bit flat on FFB I think). Go for a drive with what I have said above and use the +/- buttons to reduce your FFB initially to about 60% (AC remembers each cars custom FFB setting you set in game for the next time you drive which is handy). Adjust the FFB up and down until you feel happy with the force to turn in at speed and it feels good for you.

Once you are happy with the above, play with the enhanced understeer and slip effect settings to see if they help you get a feel for understeer starting.

Now turn up each simulated effect how you like for kerbs, road, ABS (I have these at 20%). If you do these last you don't get confused with the important FFB effects which are the understeer / slip feelings.

Gamma setting is how reactive the steering is to turning the wheel. Using CM I set gamma mode at 125%. (you should play around with this setting). This lowers the re-activeness of turning the wheel near centre.

If you lower the gamma setting too much you can get wheel oscillation down the straights if you let go of the wheel. These can get out of control and unusable. The wheel oscillation in a straight line when you take your hands off is related to the gamma setting. I think what is happening is that at a lower gamma (<100%) light steering inputs have greater effect and the opposite is true of >100%.

For me, I found by setting gamma to 75% or below resulted in oscillation if I let go of the wheel. By setting to 125% I found it eliminated oscillation and made it a bit easier to turn in to a corner (probably gave me more degrees of rotation on the wheel for same amount of turn-in).

Regarding Gyro effect, I'm a bit confused on what it does. There are various settings under controls tab but also in Custom Shaders Patch tab. Perhaps other's can help with this? I have the main controls tab setting enabled
