Online play questions

I do not typically play online, however, last night I decided to give it a try. But I never ended up joining because I couldn't understand what I was exactly joining. Maybe someone here can shed some light on the multiplayer for me. There are entries for L,P,Q,R. I understand what the entries mean, but there are colors associated with each one (red, white, blue) and I didn't understand what each color meant. Also, how can I find the duration of an event?

Edit: Also, can you create an event, and have it contain both real and AI drivers?

Join the lobby. It will display the various session lengths in the bottom left, under car selection.

Also, can you create an event, and have it contain both real and AI drivers?

Yes. If you're using a DS you can set how many human/AI cars there are, or just fill all non-human grid slots with AI.
