Playseat Evolution wheel height?

So the missus has been complaining about the noise from my rig. My wheel (T500) is bolted to my desk (IKEA kitchen worktop) so is rock solid (as it's fastened to the walls via a timber frame I made), the noise is my office chair that I'm using which is a big old and creaky to say the least. I take this to mean I can buy a new chair :D

Am thinking I want something that doesn't swivel, but am on a budget, so looking at a playseat. I would only be using the seat/pedal mount part, as the desk will be stronger for attaching the wheel to.

I know I'll likely need to make something to raise the Playseat to be the correct height to use the wheel, but question is how much?

If anyone has a Playseat Evolution can you tell me the measurement from the floor to the top of the platform that the wheel mounts to?
I can then judge how much I would need to raise the playseat off the ground to make it the right height for the desk.

Also general thoughts about the comfort of the seat would be good too.

Am tight on space and budget so can't go to any proper sim rigs (and also I literally just bought a new desk worktop last week so don't want to rip that out now). I think if I got a car seat and made something, then it wouldn't pass the missus test looks wise!

I had a playseat, got rid of it cause I didnt liked the noises it made whilst lowering myself into it, and the seat isnt really comfy for longer sessions, you are better off with a DIY solution I think, bucket seat is for sure more comfy than the foldable playseat - good luck!

Just thought I'd post a quick update if anyone's interested that I got the bucket seat and have just finished building the base for it this morning. Glad I went down this route... it's so comfy! I've put furniture sliders on the bottom so it can be tucked in more to the desk if needed. Still a work in progress, will probably put some sheets of thin MDF on the sides to neaten it up a bit and will paint them black or something to match the seat. Pedals need to be raised up a little more but very usable and comfy as is.

I only had time for a few hotlaps to test it out but it doesn't move or make a sound when I'm sat in it and braking hard, etc. :D:D
