Question about sims and glasses.

I'm coming up on getting a new prescription pair of glasses. I've noticed lately quite a strain If I race for awhile, with my eyes really feeling tired and irritated.
I've heard you can get a special "blue" coating to help with PC monitor eyestrain, and was wondering If you had any experience with it and does it really help ?

I have a “special “ coating on my glasses that is supposed to help with computer screens and remove blue light. However I am not sure if it actually does anything of benefit.

All opticians exist for one reason and that is to make profit. I suspect they make lots of money selling these fancy coatings.

I had one that supposedly stopped glare from car headlights at night. I tried a pair with and my old ones without and couldn’t see any difference.

Hopefully an optician will come along and give an honest answer.

A few things I did to alleviate eye strain is to ensure you have plenty of ambient light. I make sure I have enough indirect light above me, as well as we as behind the monitors. I also set the monitors/Window's setting so that the monitors closely match the light sources. I find that if the monitor is brighter than my surroundings my eyes strain more.
Conversely, I recently have tried racing at night, (in game haha) and dim the lights as I find the similar issue if the ambient lighting is too bright.
