On March 2nd, four days before the Formula 1 event, we will drive on the Bahrain Circuit (GP Layout).

Register on our championship page using this link:

First, there is an optional practice session, then a qualifying session which lasts for 10 minutes (plus a bit for people to finish their current hotlap).

The race format for round one is:
One 60 minute race with mandatory pit stop (put at least 1 liter fuel into your car)

Further info can be found on the championship page by clicking on the purple button EVENT DETAILS at the bottom of the page in the Bahrain event area.

PS: to spice up things, we will use different formats for different rounds (sometimes one long race, sometimes 2 races with reversed grid). Which round will have which format will be determined in a very short live stream after this first event, and made public in the forum afterwards.

Nice mod track, loved it!

okay qualy, qkay first lap, got scared with Fulvio in my mirrors and missed the sharp left hand turn in the back. Spent a lot of time chasing Paul, who had just about the same pace, but made less errors, nice job man!

Finished eight place, no big mistakes, that's the win for me! Hard to stay focussed for all these hours of racing, but it's great to do this! I just hope the field will grow. Shame some guys had to exit, hope you can stay in next time.

Congrats to the podium, some good pace there guys!

Thanks Han and Marcus for putting this championship together!

Damn, my knees are destroyed after one hour driving in an uncomfortable position on the chair. And Han made it worse by chasing me in last laps haha but a p3 tastes quite well! Again I've used the setup shared in Nurburgring :)

I hope more people can join us, 14 drivers is a good number now but probably not enough for a long season. I'm afraid the announcement was posted a bit late probably, but insisting on the fact that not all races count could attract more people :)

Thanks for the organization and clean driving!!

I really liked this one. I hadn't practiced beforehand but I knew the circuit from the game F1 2016 (my first sim) and recently I tested the circuit with the Abarth. From that last experience I was praying every time I approached the turn 9/10 combination, which is hell with an understeery car. But with the 'bite' of the Agile it became much, much easier and now I even started to like it.

The race was very intense as I was constantly within 2-4 seconds of the car in front and the car behind. In the second stint I was even a bit faster than Dani at the front, but I made too many small mistakes and lost up to a second. A great battle with Hank also increased the gap considerably. So I couldn't catch Dani.

Behind me, Thomas was faster, but Hank was able to hold him back enough that he couldn't get in attack distance. Happy with 4th place and even deserved based on lap times and consistency.

Congrats to the podium! Thanks all for joining. Let's see if we can persuade more people to enter the championship.

Guess I'll need to join in to keep Ernie some company and crash him out when he wants to stop without quitting :D:inlove:

Got my schedule until summer and I'm carefully convinced I could join most Thursdays :)

The pedal mod I did makes driving a lot more comfortable!
Plus I got some spare upholstery foam that I'm sitting on now. So easy, yet such a difference.

I see no report here so I'm starting with myself. Quite a frantic evening as I prepared all of my stuff but was warned by my son (that was using the PC before me) that the internet link was horrible. Tried to connect to the server with a couple minutes left before the quali but if was impossible. I realized that I hadn't set the right password (I had forgot that the initial letter had to be uppercase), fixed and managed to connect, only to find that I had an outdated version of the track (2.1). I did all of my practicing offline in the weekend when the server wasn't available yet so I didn't found out before.
You can imagine how fast it was to download the track with such a bad connection, and in fact I managed to be ready with 5 minutes of practice remained and did not manage to set a good time. Add to this the fact that my ping was somewhere between 350 and 500 ms and you get the idea of how hard it's been to race and try not to harm anyone (apologies @Boukâh ) and remain focused when everyone was drifting in front of me like if we were racing on Fujimi Kaido.
Had the usual focus loss at the 30 minutes mark, and made some errors that prevented me to continue battling (as much as I could) with Ramon @arathael
All in all, not a very good start but it was intense racing, also instructive to better understand how to manage the throttle carefully, something that wasn't so critical (it always is, don't get me wrong) on the Miata. This weekend I'm going to swap the throttle and clutch springs on the pedals to have a slightly stiffer action, I did it on the T3PA once, and it was worth the effort.
It was a shame seeing that many of us seem to have abandoned the race much before the end, I don't know the reason, I see that Ramon possibly had my very same issue with the ping, and also Jason was registered with high values but very low as well. I don't know about @Kek700

See you in a couple weeks!

I'm sorry for leaving early, I had a long tiring day and was struggling with the car. By mid way I just had enough and wanted to sit back and relax.

I don't intend to quit/miss races if possible it the future. I don't expect to do well in this championship either and I much prefer the 2x25 races.

No worries Omar! Saw you struggling to get on the server, hoping you’d make it in time, luckily you did! And your ping issue only put some Bahrain dust on my visor, so nothing to worry about. Let’s hope you have a better connection next time, much more fun when we can battle for positions without ping issues.

See you next time!

Spent a lot of time chasing Paul, who had just about the same pace, but made less errors, nice job man!
Thanks Bouke, after Han disappeared up the road it was looking like a lonely race but seeing you not that far behind kept me on my toes! I seemed to gain a few seconds at the pit-stop and maintained a decent enough gap to the finish but good pace from you too.

Unlike Ernie, I really like this car and the feeling of down-force and sitting close to he the ground it gives. Along with the sharp handling I think it will be an interesting series IF, we get enough drivers.
I must admit that the gaps between most of the finishers was not conducive to to keeping up the interest and maybe the 2 x 25 minute or 30 minutes reverse grid format will spice things up and be the way forward.
Lets see how it goes at Jeddah, a different prospect with the walls so close.
