RSS Vortex sound

I've been enjoying Race Sim Studio's GT1 mod, especially the Vortex.

There's a problem for me with the sound though. Now, the sound may well be absolutely accurate, indeed. The thing is that the gear change sounds are almost impercebtibly low, particularly the gear changing down. I can hardly hear it and it's making me screw up quite a lot.

What can I do? I've turned up Transmission to max in the audio options and that doesn't solve it.

I'm thinking perhaps to change the sound out for something else. Never done it before though. You can use Content Manager for that, I know. Is it easy to change the sound back after swapping sound out?

Any tips?

What exactly is the issue you're having, as far as the mistake is concerned?

If the rear end is coming around on you on corner entry/braking/downshifting, it's probably because you're not blipping the throttle on the way down. These cars don't have the auto throttle blip that modern GT cars have, you have to blip the throttle yourself to rev-match as you downshift. Ideally you should be heel-toeing, but if you time it right you can get by without using the clutch.

As far as the audio goes, since there's no auto throttle blip, you won't get that sexy, loud, RPM spike on downshifts that you would get in a modern car - I'm assuming that's what you mean by not being able to hear the downshift?
