The correct way to use LUT file ?

I have modified the ff_post_process.ini file in the following way;

[HEADER]
VERSION=1
TYPE=GAMMA
ENABLED=0

[GAMMA]
VALUE=0.5

[LUT]
VERSION=1
TYPE=LUT
ENABLED=1
VALUE=1
CURVE=myLUT.lut

Is this the correct way to make AC use the LUT file ?
Thank you in advance for your comments !

Yes so long as you aren't using content manager, which will override the settings you put in the file. With CM you need to set it in the program itself.

Obligatory LUTs are mostly useless for linear response if that is your goal. Make sure you are using it because you are tweaking for personal feel not because you think somehow your wheel isn't linear.

I followed this guide to create a LUT file;

I followed the Wheelcheck + LUT generator method in the past and with my TMX Pro the result was a terribly lightweight, unsatisfying and arguably simply incorrect force feedback feel that made challenging cars borderline undrivable.
I've reverted to standard FFB with gain at 100% combined with the FFB Clip app and 10% minimum force and I'm now enjoying (and rediscovering) AC again.

Stereo is right - no effect when
[HEADER]
VERSION=1
TYPE=GAMMA
ENABLED=0

That
last "0" should be "1" and if you want to use the custom " CURVE=myLUT.lut" you need to edit "TYPE=GAMMA" to "TYPE=LUT".

Or use CM

Another good way of modifying the torque curve of the wheel is
gamma.jpg

This way I have no dead spot in the middle and 90 % gamma compensates for the 5 % (which is per side) that otherwise I need to set for "Minimum force".
