Tuning the ai.ini

I've noticed that mod car ai is all over the place. Even some stock Kunos content seems to be kind of funky. I just wanted to get an opinion on how you car makers get your numbers. What tracks do you tune at? Are there any particular techniques you use? I've been messing around with the numbers with some success and just wanted to get some opinions. There doesn't seem to be any comprehensive guides around that i can find, just tiny bits of scattered info here and there.
