For me the V8Scorsa is a fantastic mod. I never liked the V8s in iRacing. This mod is a bit more accessible than the iRacing car without be to easy to drive. Cars are a bit understeery but I think thats normal. Dont know if the 3 different brands use different physics but its definetly worth a try.

I like the it, a good V8SC mod was missing from AC. It's not on Reiza SuperV8 levels, but according to V8Scorsa's Facebook they are still working on upgrades to the cars, both for models and physics.

they don't, physics and sound are exactly the same across all three cars. Copy&Paste. Sadly a typical rip mod.

VASC go through great lengths to ensure parity across all the makes IRL. And besides if they were all different you’d end up everyone driving the stronger car anyway...

EDIT: the physics are scratch built from real data, nothing ripped about them. The models are rips and that’s all. As part of the physics some real data info is needed for certain items in steering and suspension and until then it’s what it is. Which IMO is a good thing

Still boggles my mind that nobody has made a legit V8SC mod for AC. I would have thought that would be one of the first cars people would go for. We have an airplane, but no Aussie V8.

Sadly these cars are not very popular outside of Australia I guess. I always wanted to race them in Iracing but there are no races available for the EU timezone. So I’m glad they are available in Automobilista and now in AC.

I know that VASC ensure parity, but having all cars exactly the same, down to the kilogramm and Newtonmeter? Shouldn't they instead polish out the few differences the cars have? The Holden and the Ford run pushrod 2-valves per cylinder, the Nissan has 4-valves DOHC - but use the same fmod bank file.

And the models are apparently unchanged from the mobile game, thus really low poly (~70k tris, 1/4 of normal Kunos resolution), not even the stuff that is right in your face was optimised (that dimpled structure piece behind the steering wheel). Shader wise at least for the main body it's values copied 1:1 from the AMG GT3, but for some reason both sunSpec and sunSpecEXP were both left at 0 - change them in CM and the cars look way better, but those changes will get you kicked from online.

Honestely if someone doesn't go these little steps to ensure visual quality I don't really believe in quality at other ends aswell.

Shame really, some of the best racing in the world.
Never really seen it before, but recently been looking into it a bit more. From what I've seen it looks ace.

Any idea whats happening with the Gen2 cars for 2018? I'm trying to get my head around the rules etc, it seems Holden is bringing a new car, but is anyone else? Or are Ford etc sticking to the older 'New generation' (lol) supercar regs?

Hopefully this gets fixed in a future update:

Love this mod; absolute blast to drive.

Good to hear that they are working on some updates because I thought I was the only one struggling with these cars. Definitely not AMS standards, I struggle with breaking a bit but the under steer is my biggest problem. These cars just don't want to turn in which has left rather not playing with them.
If anyone know a fix to this, help would be appreciated.
