Verstappen dangerous or daring.jpg

Max Verstappen crashes once again, this time into the World Championship leader, causing one to wonder if the flying Dutchman is more dangerous than exciting.

Everyone likes to see fighting spirit out on the circuit, however with over 60 Grand Prix and in his fourth season of Formula One, is it about time the 20-year-old Red Bull driver calmed down and stopped making rookie mistakes?

Possibly highlighted by such a composed and established over taker in the form of his Red Bull team mate Ricciardo in the sister car, it is clear now that Max Verstappen still has much to learn about cleanly racing with his rivals out on the racetrack, not least of which with accidents in two consecutive race weekends for the youngster. Has Verstappen become something of a danger out on the circuit?

Let us know your opinion below!

Nothing else to say other than needs to know when to overtake- I think memories of Australia where he couldn’t get pas Magnusson was probably on his mind when he rushed to overtake Vettel.

It is impossible to defend what he did today, after the way things panned out it should have been a red bull 1 2. With Max as 1!! He threw that away with some serious levels of stupidity. The vettel one was just plain embarrassing, 10 secs later he would have pulled onto the home straight with far superior traction, and drs, and strolled past vettel.

He needs to calm himself down he took a dive that if it had been done at the correct time it would have been amazing rubbing out Vettels line into the corner and he would have had it but he mistimed it by a few seconds and it caused an incident, but hes what just 20 years old hes got a long way to calm down and get into the zone of a champion, one of these years Max Verstappen will be the first Dutch F1 World Drivers Champion but from that performance hes got a LONG way to go before he can challenge for the title....

Really don’t get how on earth Max. thought this would work.
What is annoying is those 10 sec. penalty still ended up him in front of Vettel :O_o:
He seems to target Hamilton and Vettel with these crazy overtakes or?

Take into account he is still one of several youngsters in F1. For sure there is a talent, but if no one puts effort to mitigate such childish and irresponsible behaviours, this is how it ends. There is almost no race where Verstappen is not involved in some incident or investigation, and almost always he blame others instead of admitting his fault.

Overall this "the most prestigoius racing series" are now more like series for wealthy kids. Not a place for well grown man anymore.

For me Verstappen is a GP winner, but not a champion, he's just too impulsive and he suffers from way too many red mist scenarios. He's in a top team and if his own team can't tame him, then I presume he'll never improve from here. It only is a matter of time before Red Bull makes a decision about that.

Imo the result of too much hype and his father's pressure to see his son accomplish what he couldn't do and see his son achieve more but still fail in the same way.

If Bottas does well this year he'll keep his seat at Mercedes, so Daniel could go to Ferrari. If Max is given the time he'll end up team lead which would - imo - only make it worse for Red Bull in the future.
