In the setup screen, you probably want to adjust the maximum braking downwards from 100% and perhaps tweak the balance too.
It's under the "Generic" tab (for no good reason I can think of ).
In content manager or AC settings: set your brake pedal gamma value higher than the default, this works also without changing the break power every time.
