Wheel Calibration in Sim Games (G29)

1. My Logitech G29 is set to all defaults / 900 degrees in the Logitech software

But when I follow the instructions to calibrate it in various sim games (PC2, AMS2, AC, etc), they always suggest a steering lock of about 520-540 degrees.

Whereas in ACC for example the G29 default profile is 900 degrees steering lock, and ACC doesn't even have calibration.

I don't know whether I'm meant to use 900 degrees, or this rather arbitrary 520-540 degrees for racing sims.

2. In R3E there seems to be no option for steering lock or calibration, and the steering seems to be way off because I can barely get around corners (I've only tried the Saleen S7R in R3E: 540 degree car).

3. In rFactor 2 what settings do I use to get the steering correct? The settings are called different things than in the other sim games I have.

Also when I calibrate wheel in games, the game shows 100% steering when I turn +/- 270 degrees, but if I force it a little I can turn the wheel a further 180 degrees to get to +/- 450 degrees.

Turning further shows no change on the calibration.

Why do the games not detect the full +/- 450 degrees?

It depends on the game. For ACC and R3E you will want to match the car you are driving. R3E shows it in the setup page for the car so you can use that and you need to change the visual setting too, but ACC you need to look up a list and just set in the settings. AC and iRacing are fine on 900 and setting in game they will use a soft lock and match the wheel rotation. Games are all over the place in terms of matching wheel rotation and/or using soft lock and its kind of annoying.

I have a problem with my logitech g923 in logitech program the rotation degrees are set to 500 normally and it worked ok all the time till yesterday i loaded up AC and the wheel started too pull to right or left like FFB was laggy and then the wheel was stuck on one side.
I tried everything reinstall logitech g hub reset the wheel power of for 30 sec. And i tried in CM (Content Manager) to re-apply the button mappings and the pedals and nothing works somebody please help me with that problem

I was playing round with wheel lock angle in Logitech settings. When I switched back to 900deg in Logitech software, suddenly all the games with calibration (AMS2, AC, etc) started recognising the G29 as indeed a 900deg wheel, and not a 540deg wheel.

This was driving me crazy. Unsure if anyone else has had this issue.

It happens recurringly after opening R3E. After closing R3E and opening a different game, with Logitech software still on 900deg, the game (eg AMS2 wheel calibration) will only recognise 540 or 720 degrees (seems to be the amount of degrees of the car I use in R3E). This suggests R3E is overriding the Logitech software, making it have a different steering lock.

This is a serious issue.

Also, R3E is just seemingly broken with G29. I don't think it knows that the G29 is 900deg, and I don't know if it has soft lock feature (lock to match different vehicles).

rFactor 2 has "Default Max Steering Angle", and "Steering Wheel Range". What is the difference between these two settings? Does rFactor 2 have soft lock?

At this stage it appears R3E is the only problematic sim game.

About Range and Angle..
I found some *Un-documented button pressing stuff

Not sure this will help you, ;)
