xbox controller NOT WORKING !!

I am sorry but it seems that everytime I try to set the controllers xbutton and Abutton are not saved . How can I play with manual gear if they don't work ? is anyone having the same issue ?

I have XBox One controller. Both X & A buttons appear to be the default setting. I have had no problems with driving.

Same, but I changed the buttons for the shoulder buttons as it should be. My only problem is that if you assign x and a then you have hard time managing in the pit stop window, because you use those buttons to confirm things.
