2021 roadmaps: Plans for DIRT 5, ACC and more

MORE CONTENT FOR DIRT 5 Codemasters has planned a lot for DIRT 5 in 2021. The publisher promised that there will be new cars, tracks, playgrounds, liveries and much more. The studio is also going to add some essential features requested by the community such as private multiplayer lobbies. Owners of the Amplified Edition of DIRT 5 will receive some exclusive extra content. RIDE 4 IS COMING TO NEXT-GEN CONSOLES Motorcycle fans will soon be able to upgrade their experience, with Ride 4 being available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S from January 21 on. Players who bought the game for PS4 or Xbox One can upgrade it for free to the next-gen version. But there is more: Until the end of August, Milestone will release a total of 24 DLC packs containing new bikes, new tracks and many new events. HISTORICAL SPA LAYOUTS AND NEW EXPANSIONS FOR AUTOMOBILISTA 2 The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is the latest addition to Automobilista 2. In February, publisher Reiza Studios plans to release a historical layout from 1991 for the track, later there will also be a 70's version. The studio wants to add more content through major expansion packs in 2021. A concrete and detailed Automobilista 2 roadmap for the year will be published by the end of January. NEW SEASON, NEW CONTENT FOR IRACING In iRacing, 2021 kicks off with a new season. Four new vehicles, two new or fully updated tracks as well as new track configurations and tire updates have already been added to the game in December. Some of the biggest iRacing competitions will return in 2021, with the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Super Cup being one of them. CIRCUIT SUPERSTARS EARLY ACCESS AROUND THE CORNER There is also a new physics-driven racing game coming for PC in early 2021. Circuit Superstars offers an uncommon top-down perspective and a unique artstyle but still tries to be as authentic as well-known motorsport simulations. The Early access version of Circuit Superstars will be released within the first quarter of this year. GT PACKS FOR ASSETTO CORSA COMPETIZIONE Console players who own Assetto Corsa Competizione will soon be able to play the 2020 GT World Challenge. While the DLC found its way to Steam in early December, Xbox One and PS4 users can enjoy it later this month. The next DLC to follow has already been announced: The British GT Pack will arrive this winter to all platforms.

With the new year starting off, there is plenty of room for developers to focus on new content for their games. Some publishers already gave an insight on what to expect for their titles in 2021. Here are six racing games that will soon see some major updates according to their studios.

Many updates for some of the most important games in the scene already arrived in December, for other titles the publisher did not announce much upcoming content for this year. We can expect new updates and announcements in January, and of course we will keep you up to date here on OverTake.
