It’s no secret that, for some people, the F1 game series by Codemasters doesn’t provide an authentic open-wheel driving experience. The term ‘simcade’ has been coined effectively with the game in mind, to distance it from simulators such as rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa Competitzione. With this in mind, we asked the OverTake community which was your favourite game to drive formula-style cars. Take a look at the video to find out the results.
The Method
In order to find out which game reigned supreme for open-wheel racing, we put polls up on both Twitter and YouTube. There were a few games in contention, some of which were more popular than others by a wide margin. The fifth game on our list only received 3% of the YouTube vote, and just under 6% on Twitter.
On the other end of the scale, your favourite Formula car simracing experience garnered a massive 73% of the YouTube vote, with the Twitter figures coming in at a slightly more modest 63%. To find out which game smashed the competition, you’ll have to watch the video!
