The new F1 Manager 2022 game has an official release date of 25 August on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. But who are the top drivers in terms of the F1 Manager 2022 driver ratings?

For fans of the manager-style games, F1 Manager 2022 releases soon and it will offer a much more detailed career mode in comparison to My Team that can be found in Codemasters’ F1 games.
The game promises a lot. Not just being able to sign drivers from F1, F2 and F3, but also staff from teams in all three championships.
But who are the drivers with the best ratings? The ones every player will want to hire later on down the line to get the best results possible. Well thanks to F1 gaming content creator Aarava, we’ve had an early look at the driver ratings on F1 Manager 2022.
1. Lewis Hamilton
Driver Rating: 88
The driver with by far the most poles and wins in the sport is unsurprisingly up there with one of the highest driver ratings. However that may come with a bit of a stipulation.
Using the Codemasters F1 game’s My Team career as an example, Hamilton’s asking price to join the team is always very high. With other drivers of the same rating, it may be worth selecting them for a cheaper price.
2. Max Verstappen
Driver Rating: 88
The newly-installed champion shares the same rating as Hamilton. Don’t be fooled into thinking Verstappen will be the same cost as Hamilton just because Red Bull allegedly pay him a very similar amount; it’s unlikely Verstappen will cost the same as Hamilton.
After all, while Max may be the hottest property in Formula 1 for the years to come, it’s hard to argue against 7 World Drivers Championship titles.
3. Charles Leclerc
Driver Rating: 88
The Ferrari driver has certainly come to the forefront this season, leading the championship after the first few races. But, if the Monegasque’s home race was anything to go by, he will be wanting to move to a team with better strategists.
So if Leclerc is anybody’s driver of choice, hiring some personnel to improve strategy will go a long way. All jokes aside, Leclerc has been an exceptional driver ever since entering the sport. Perhaps he will also be the least expensive to hire out of the three with an 88 rating as well.

4. Sergio Pérez
Driver Rating: 87
After being a bit of a journeyman in the sport since making his debut in 2011, the Mexican has had a career revitalisation in recent years. After seeming to be on his way out of the sport, he came from last place to take victory in the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix. He since joined Red Bull and added two more victories.
Not just a proven driver but a strong pair of hands to play support to a main driver. Pérez is a great choice for any team. It’s possible, too, that the Mexican will bring a little bit more sponsor money in than most of the over drivers as well.
5. Lando Norris
Driver Rating: 87
The Brit made his debut in 2019 after winning almost everything there was in the lower formulae. Having taken a pole position already last season at Sochi, he’s got the potential for sure. However, a driver rating of 87 may seem to many to be a little on the generous side.
In any case, Norris could be one of the more reasonably priced drivers. Has been a strong and consistent contender who could end up winning a race or two in the four seasons that can be played on F1 Manager 2022.
6. George Russell
Driver Rating: 86
After three seasons at the tail end of the field and a near victory in a one-off drive with Mercedes, the Brit is now full time with the silver arrows. He’s been performing remarkably and has maintained a very consistent run of finishes.
A very strong driver who will get the points and outperform the car. A strong candidate for any hopeful team F1 Manager 2022. Given his championship victory over Norris when the pair raced in F2 together, an 86 may seem a touch low for George.

7. Carlos Sainz
Driver Rating: 86
The Spaniard has been in the sport since 2015 and had become a very unassuming, capable driver. Joining Ferrari in 2021 alongside Leclerc, Sainz surprised everyone by actually beating his high-rated teammate in the championship standings.
Now that the Ferraris are running up at the front, Leclerc seems to have him on pace. But that doesn’t make him a bad choice. In fact, a lot of players may think Sainz was hard done by with a rating of 86.
8. Valtteri Bottas
Driver Rating: 86
After five seasons playing support act to Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas has taken his fellow Finn Kimi Räikkönen’s place at Alfa Romeo. It seems to have reinvigorated Bottas, as he’s enjoying a great season with a team that was up until last year, a tail end team but now a firm fixture in the midfield.

The Finn has a bit of a reputation of not being able to race properly. But on his day, Bottas is unbeatable and worth a chance.
9. Fernando Alonso
Driver Rating: 85
Despite only winning the championship twice, Alonso is lauded as one of the greats. Having first left the sport at the end of 2018, he returned last season despite being 40 years old with the same team he won his championships with.
Will players out there be willing to give a 40-year old Alonso a chance at becoming a champion once more?
10. Pierre Gasly
Driver Rating: 85
After a torrid first half of the season with Red Bull in 2019, Gasly was demoted back down to Toro Rosso. One year later, the Frenchman won the Italian Grand Prix in what many considered to be one of the greatest redemption arcs in modern motorsport history.
Gasly will be wanting to break out of the Red Bull fold to finally make an attempt at a title push. Will it be with your team?
