Forza Motorsport: Release Date, Trailer & More

The next Forza Motorsport series entry releases later this year. Now we know the exact date, and there’s a trailer.

As one of the racing game genre’s most prominent series, Forza Motorsport will be given a soft reboot for its newest instalment. Despite being the eighth game in the series, it won’t be called Forza Motorsport 8, instead dropping the number.

After initial intentions of a Spring 2023 release, Forza Motorsport will now launch on 10 October for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Those who pre-order the Premium Edition get five days of early access.

What’s in Forza Motorsport 2023?

There are over 500 unique cars in the game and 800 performance upgrades available to them. The single player campaign is called the Builders Cup Career Mode, and more about it will be revealed in the Forza Monthly livestream on 13 June at 8pm CEST on the Forza Twitch and YouTube channels.

As for multiplayer, there will be structured matchmaking events and also free play for players to gather in a non competitive environment.

When it comes to tracks, Forza Motorsport is expected to launch with 20 different environments (featuring multiple layouts), five of those will be never before seen entries into the series.

Pre-Order Details

There are three editions of Forza Motorsport that can be pre-ordered. Standard Edition features the base game, the Deluxe Edition adds the Car Pack and the Premium Edition includes all that along with the Race Day Car Pack, VIP Membership, Welcome Pack and allows players five days early access.

The Car Pack that comes with the Deluxe Edition gives 30 extra cars. For the Premium Edition content: the Race Day Car Pack features eight cars, the VIP Membership provides a permanent 2x credits boost along with five Forza Edition cars and additional perks such as exclusive in-game races. Finally, for the Welcome Pack, the player is granted five immediate car unlocks and bonus credits.

The Standard Edition costs £69.99/$69.99/€79.99, the Deluxe Edition costs £79.99/$89.99/€89.99 and the Premium Edition is £89.99/$99.99/€99.99. The content in the Premium Edition can be added to the Standard and Deluxe Editions with the Premium Add-Ons Bundle, but that works out as more expensive than just getting the Premium Edition.
