A very simple dial type overlay
The inner orange circle will turn green if your timing on stage is better than your previous best on that same stage.
The inner circle color change happens dynamically at each moment of the race, but you need to have completed the stage at least once for this mechanic to work, if not, it will stay orange and you won't notice it even exists.
