Adding friends ingame

Hi all,
Is it possible to add someone ingame say just after a race or even during qualifying. Can I view recent race results anywhere?
How often are the stats updated on the portal as my results do not seem to be updating.
When in multi player how do I see the other players on the server in a list with their times. ( its obvious in other sims but I could not see it in this one)

Click on "Timing" in the session menu.
