Cant join a server

Hi all i hope i am not the only person who has had this problem. I have the list of servers up and when i attempt to join one i get the error in this picture ? Any help on why this happens and more importantly how to fix it please.

The reason you can't connect to the server in the above is because you do not have the base version 6.6 of the V8 supercar mod installed, I think the version that is on Steam is only 6.5 if you google it you should be able to find it.
