File recovery

I have only tried Recuva and another just called File_Recovery.
The few times I have tried to use them the recovered files wasnt useable.
The problem is probably that if you try to recover a file after you have deleted and done a few things on your puter there is a big chance that part of the file is allready overwritten.

Of all the utilities I've found on-line, only two were not bait and switch.
One of them was really, really slow and recovered files that were mostly unusable.
The other had no GUI and was extremely vague on it's use.

Same as my experience.
My own conclusion is that from WinXP and forward the MS OS does make so many (unnessesary) changes almost every second on the HD that its almost impossible to recover a file even if you have only moved a single file or something.
Linux is much more relaxed.
