Sorry for my ignorance but is there a RaceDepartment server to perform some hotlaps on GSC? Do I have to subscribe? Thanks.

First of all, welcome I see you are a registred member for a while now, so I assume it's time for the next step
First thing to do is apply for a free license. You can do that here. Make sure to read this info first!

Then keep an eye out for the GSC Racing club. There are weekly events there which you can sign up for. From time to time, we have hotlap competitions as well, but mostly it's racing.
