Find a used racing site online. A lot of racers will swap out their seats on a semi regular basis and you can pick them up for a fraction of the cost.

in the US, we have www.racingjunk.com but I'm sure there's a UK equivalent.

Thanks a lot for that. This was my first go at Bathurst and I now see where I was loosing enormous amounts of time: I brake way to hard for the blind right hand corner on top of the mountain. Also, I stayed too long to the right before the dipper. That should get me in the 2:09 range, I hope.

Now I just have to figure out a way for soft tyres to survive on my 911, but maybe that is not possible given my experiences on other tracks.
