Heat haze Rfactor 2

Can anyone answer me this please? Why do I only get engine heat haze effect on some cars and not all? Same graphics settings. I mainly get heat haze using the AMSGT Merc. It looks great in action, but why only this car amongst all the others? I don't get heat haze from open wheelers, indycars or corvettes.

You probably are getting the heat haze on the others, it's just not as exaggerated or noticeable.

Nope, not getting it at all on the other cars. Double and triple checked.

Not all Apex cars have the heat heaze effect.

Check the Palatov D4 and the URD T5. The heat heaze should be noticable.

FR3.5 has the heat heaze on the back of the car. But not that noticable.

So the ISI cars don't have it? Like the corvette c6r? Why don't all the cars have it?

Some: ISI FR3.5 has it. That one i know for sure.
Can't remember if the vette has the heat heaze.

Why don't all the cars have it?

It can be FPS heavy with a big grid. (It can be turned off in the player.json.)
It's also difficult to get it spot on and to get a believeable effect.
And some times, it doesn't fit with the car.

Well it should be UI option. I quite like it.

how do I disable heat haze effect pls? DX11, launcher video settings post effects none, DX11 config manually rewritten post effects 0, always changes to 1 even when I set it read-only, still got the blurry heat haze
