Import to BTB from Google Earth

Are there any tutorials on how to import data into BTB for the road and terrain from Google Earth? I am on the current version of BTB, but I am very new to any of the point cloud stuff and don't really know what to do.

There are some tutorials for importing a KML file somewhere here in the forum. Short answer is that you generate a KMZ file for the track in Google Earth, use http://www.nearby.org.uk/elevation-kml.php to fill in the altitudes & convert to KML, and import. Don't use too many points when drawing the KML. Fine-tune the import over a background image by adjusting nodes.

For using point-cloud data, see http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/working-with-aerial-lidar.96590/ and a database of tracks covered by aerial lidar is described in http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/emerys-public-lidar-database.97718/

These will have to do until Brendon releases his recently demonstrated direct import of Google Earth terrain.
