Modifying mini hud

I mostly use cockpit view with mini mini hud, just the gear indicator ... but don't find its position on the right of the screen well chosen.

Would it be possible to change this position to a central low position on the screen as it is possible in GTR2 ?
Is there a file I could change to get this result ?

as far as I know, you can't as it is a file that can't be over read by a modified version....

same as the wtcc menu ui to change things like the garage adjustments...
