Multiple AMS Installs Possible?

Before Steam, those of us who bought and downloaded GSC directly from Reiza's site could have another install of it on the same PC (one for "vanilla" GSC to prevent online mismatch, one for mods).

Is that at all possible with AMS+Steam?
