newbie and the black cars!!

sorry if this thread done before but
i downloaded racer 0.8.23 today and first played with the 1 track and lambo you get with it was very supprised how cool the game is no probs with the graphics there.

but i downloaded a few mods cars and they are all black!
i've been everywhere on google trying to make sense but came dead ends.

surely it cant be my graphics card if the track and lambo are perfect on it?

plus came across gfx.ini to put to '0'. where is the gfx.ini in the file?
any help greatly apprecitaed
