Page indication since Upgrade?

Is there any chance to include some form of indication of what page you are on when viewing multi page threads?
Previously, the page being viewed was highlighted at the bottom, but now all pages are an open box.

Maybe it's just me, but I like to know if I have to go to the next page to see new posts. Yes, I'm currently clicking the last page to check, but it is a tad annoying to keep doing it to find I'm actually on the last page.
