RACE 07 mods to rFactor

To do this you need 3DSimEd

File > Import As Objects > select all the gmt files > Export to rFactor

Now find an rFactor car that is close to the style that you are converting, copy all the text files and rename to suit your new car. Open each one at a time and edit line by line taking entries from the equivalent Race 07 file

copy, rename and edit a set of file for the rfm folder

copy across the sounds bytes to the Sounds folder

copy across the talent to the Talent folder

This will get you the basic car up and running.

Then you will need to add content like light castings etc

This is of course for converting mods that have permissions and not for licensed content. Hence I have not gone into how to rip content etc...
