Hope so, as it is a big gamble if you can't do any laps.

Tom, it is not. In real life there is a diference of almost 3/4 hours from Warm Up to Race, so the weather can be really diferent at that point.

if it is naw you are using then the weather at the warm up will be the exact same weather that you start the race with
like so
