Why my PC automatically change resolution?

Today I received my Samsung CRG 9 monitor, i’m now working on settings. When i manual change the refresh rate from the monitor from 60hz to 120hz my pc automaticly change the resolution to a smaller size and i cannot put it back to 5120x1440.

This happens in game but also at the desktop
Anybody know what is the problem?

Are you using HDMI or DP?

I have no idea on the settings of that specific monitor, but could it be something to do with the hdr colour setting (8-bit, 10-bit or 12-bit)? Just guessing really!
