Hawaii Raceway Park (HRP) was originally a drag strip facility located in an industrial park area on the island of Oahu in Kapolei. The track had a drag strip, a return road, and a mauka (toward the mountains) loop around the paddock area. In the early 70s, the local SCCA group added a makai (toward the water) loop about two thirds of the way down the drag strip. The facility was then used for both drag racing events and road racing events. HRP is gone now, but there is an initiative to build a new much improved Hawaii Raceway Park.

Hawaii Raceway '76 is what the racing layout looked like in the 70s. The elevation changes are very accurate. All the structures are just eye candy of what I envision it might look like if it existed today.

Good historic track, though a couple of "dressing" elements; specifically parked car props and Intel Centrino billboard gantries do break immersion if you're playing with an otherwise period-correct race setup, so replacing them with more contemporaneous car models and billboard textures would really help tie it all together.
Nice twisty little track! Most things look good but the road is a bit plain
