1974 F1 season custom AI file for the F-Retro_Gen1 cars - made to suit @Klukkluk's excellent livery set (v0.9.6).
Features:
Simply copy the XML file into your
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\UserData\CustomAIDrivers folder.
If you are using different skins, or have any issues with the AI drivers not showing up in game - check to ensure the livery names in the AI XML file match the livery names detailed in the relevant livery override XML files within your ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Automobilista 2\Vehicles\Textures\CustomLiveries\Overrides folder.
Limitations/issues:
- When running a custom championship, points are currently allocated to the car/livery, not the driver.
- Some of the car models available by default suit cars that only ran at a handful of races - so it is difficult or maybe impossible to get fully accurate grids.
- Some of the tracks in AMS2 do not have enough grid slots (yet) to run a fully accurate grid - e.g. Monaco, Österreichring.
I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions to improve this further.
Features:
- Historically correct drivers for all 1974 F1 tracks currently in AMS2 (8 in total, plus a few bonus proxies), using track-specific overrides. This means, for example, Mike Hailwood is replaced by David Hobbs at Österreichring and Monza, and by Jochen Mass at Watkins Glen. Others making substitute appearances include Chris Amon, Brian Redman, Tom Pryce, José Dolhem, Derek Bell, Tom Belsø, Gijs van Lennep, Peter Gethin and Rolf Stommelen.
- All driver attributes detailed - i.e. each AI driver has a full profile of custom attributes to help create interesting racing and try to reflect driver ability/personality.
- AI for alternate cars (52 drivers in total!) - the livery set includes more cars than there are slots available in the game. You can sub in whichever of the available teams you want and the AI file should still work. See Klukkluk's page for details on the options available.
