The alien-laden driver roster of Virtual Le Mans is back on track this weekend for 8 hours of action at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Round 3 of the Virtual Le Mans series will take place this weekend, with the drivers taking on the Nordschleife for 8 hours. The event utilizes rFactor 2 for competition, and features both LM prototype and GT endurance cars. The driver roster includes not only some of the best and most popular sim racers, but also real-world drivers from race series like Indycar, DTM and W.
Rounds 1 and 2 of the series were held at Monza and Spa, respectively. Dani Juncandella of RealTeam Hydrogen - Redline took the victory in round 1, a 4 hour race at Monza. Round 2 went to Bono Huis of Team Redline at the 6 hour race at Spa Francorchamps. The series spans five events, and after the Nordschleife only Sebring remains before the 24 hour endurance final at Le Mans.
