Wreckfest is Coming to Mobile

Yes, you read that correctly. Wreckfest is coming to mobile! Developer HandyGames is hard at work to bring the destruction racing game to a mobile device near you.

Features of Wreckfest Mobile

Unique Racing Experience

Exhilarating no-rules racing action with defining, once-in-a-lifetime moments that can be achieved only with a true-to-life physics simulation.

Witness insane neck-to-neck fighting on high-speed circuits, face total destruction madness on crazy courses with intersections and oncoming traffic, or go for demolition dominance in derby arenas.

Awesome Cars

The cars are old, banged up, patched together... They ooze style and character! From old American heavy-hitters to agile Europeans and fun Asians, you won’t find anything like this in other games.

Meaningful Customization

Change not only the look of your cars but also upgrade their body armor – Reinforce them with heavy iron that protects you from damage, but also adds weight, which impacts the cars handling.

Modify your car to make a robust tank or a fragile but lightning-fast rocket, or anything in between!

Multiplayer

Wreck your friends in local multiplayer and take racing to the limit while chasing for demolition dominance!

Challenge Mode

Have hilarious fun with crop harvesters, lawn mowers, school buses, three-wheelers and much more!

Career Mode

Battle for championships, earn experience, unlock new upgrades and cars, and become the all-time Wreckfest champion!

What to Expect

One thing to note is the Multiplayer promise. With such a destructible environment and not everyone having 5G internet, it seems they left out online multiplayer. Only local multiplayer seems to become available, making this a game for school breaks and offline racing.

But that is okay, as long as mobile CPUs can process the destructible cars, there shouldn't be a problem. They even downgraded the graphics to not make the game as graphically demanding.

The release date and price are currently unknown, however, you will be able to access Wreckfest Mobile through Apple, Android and Samsung stores.

Depending on the pricing scheme, this game seems like a sure app to get, especially when having waiting times anywhere. Waiting at the doctor? Why not have a quick figure-8 race?

We'll have to wait until the release to find out how worthwhile Wreckfest Mobile is. To any mobile gamers and racing fans, this might be an interesting investment, however.

What do you think about the idea of Wreckfest Mobile? Looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments below!

I don't have a phone capable of running it :roflmao: but I think this could be a fabulous move. Fun, smash-em-up racing seems like a surefire hit as a mobile game. Much better than Assetto Corsa on mobile, whatever the heck that was . Yet a mobile Wreckfest game still could be classed as some kind of sim racing, since as we know, Wreckfest has intuitive, consistent and not-entirely-unrealistic physics. Best of luck to the devs! I'll be keeping my eye on this.

Didn't enjoy it enough on the PC but I'm sure it will be a must buy for Android for me

They couldn't properly recreate Flat-Out experience, something was always off.
It's still fun, but short lived.

Great to see the 'Wreckfest' sim:whistling: expanding into other media genres and hopefully it will do well. Possibly giving more exposure to it and maybe bringing more players to Consoles and PC who like it and then want to play it on a bigger screen. Fantastic Announcement Video, sold me on it, although I will be continuing to play on PC only.
I was an original backer going through the development stage way back in the day when it was called 'Next Car Game'...still thoroughly enjoying it to this day on my TM Wheel / Pedals and Triple Screen set up:inlove:.

Finally a mobile game I can be bothered to play. Hope it won't be pay2win though...

This game is incredible on my Steam Deck. The control is especially rewarding and fun, but the graphics are also fantastic.
